Candice Lang
I was born, raised and attended school in Layton, Utah. She was introduced to her love of volleyball in 1996 at the age of 13. I played volleyball at North Layton Junior High and Northridge High School in Layton, Utah. I was introduced to Club volleyball after my first season of junior high volleyball. After graduating from Northridge High School, I attended Westminster College in Sugar House and was honored by starting as a Freshman Setter.
I absolutely fell in love with competitive volleyball and haven’t stopped playing since. I still play every season, both women’s and co-ed. I began coaching competitive and high school volleyball while still attending college for Davis Juniors and Clearfield High School. I took some time off to finish my studies and have now been coaching competitively since 2009. I was lucky enough to coach for Utah Ice Volleyball Club and now am honored to coach for Wildcat VBC.
My coaching style is based on giving everything you have at all times while on the court. I believe if you are going to dedicate yourself to something, do so with all your heart, mind, body and soul. Life outside the court does exist and should be experienced with the same veracity. However, when you’re on my court, be there 100 %! I love this game and owe so much of how I view life and who I am to the lessons learned while on the court! In most scenarios I am just as excited as the my girls who are currently playing!
